What Are Words

This is a cover of Chris Medina's "What Are Words." Why did I decide to record this particular song?

I am amused by Chris Medina's character, I admire him and he is our everyday hero, in a true sense. A very touching story, broadcasted on American Idol of a couple, who have been together for 8 years, where Juliana, Chris's girlfriend gets into a severe car accident, barely making it out alive with a very serious brain injury. Juliana can no longer walk, she can hardly speak and she needs help with all her daily activities. Nonetheless, Chris stays by her side, just like he intended to with the vows he never got to take. He moved in with Juliana and her family to be her caretaker.

I have witnessed true loyalty in only a few corners of my life, and this true story has retaught me to have more respect for our lives, loyalty, dedication and care for other humans and has given me hope. Chris's choice of loyalty is a light in the darkness of everyday. I thank Chris from the bottom of my heart for being a role model for me and many others around the world.
